Habitat for Humanity

Our President, Larry Price, founded the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity twenty years ago. We continue to support this mission by being a Sponsor for the Bedford Builds Habitat Ball and roofing at least two houses per year for a new Habitat family.

Fly Cultural Arts Center

Larry didn’t stop with Bedford Builds – his wife Carolyn has quite the humanitarian tendency as well. Carolyn and Larry were instrumental in establishing the Fly Cultural Arts Center in Bedford County. The center spotlights local artists and brings community theater and local artist recognition to the middle Tennessee region.

Carolyn continues to participate as an active board member for the center while Larry assists with the design and development side, working to continually improve the facility. United Way, Rotary Club & Duck River Cleanup Project

Our Vice President, Jonathan Price, serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Bedford County and is a member of the Shelbyville Rotary Club. He is also involved in many local environmental projects. Jonathan is on the Duck River Cleanup Organization Committee, which holds the annual Duck River Cleanup where over 200 volunteers fill up two 30 yard dumpsters worth of trash from the river. He is also on the board of the Duck River Education Committee, which holds a day of learning for all the local 5th graders in Bedford County among other activities.
